For me, this is the year of skincare. I got tones of new skincare bits to try out recently (from my own purchases and Christmas!).
So I’m gonna tell you guys what I’ve been trying out and what I’ve been loving and using pretty much every day.
Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm
This luxury cleansing balm is a treat to use, it melts into your hand and you apply it all over your face to melt off makeup. A little goes a long way and it smells like a spa and feels like a lovely silky moisturising cleanser that actually has an effect on your skin leaving it feeling more hydrated and plump.
Skyn Iceland Eye Cream
I have two tiny pots of this, they’ve lasted me ages though! You only need a tiny bit as it spreads far and has a cooling effect on the eye. I take this on my eyelid and where I get bags every night and I’ve found that my eyes have been more hydrated and easier to work eye shadow onto. I’ve never really been into eye cream but I definitely have seen the benefits of this one.
Nip & Fab Hydrate Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic shot.
I got this from Superdrug when it was half price (about £12). Everything about this I love, the bottle and application dropper and how easy it is to use. I use this once every two nights mixed in the the Vitamin E moisture mask from Superdrug to give my dry skin a frequent treatment, you can mix this in with serums and use it as a treatment overnight which is what I do.
I’ve found that mixed in with the moisture mask this really has improved my complexion to be less red and more hydrated. Definitely a must if you suffer with dryness
Garnier Micellar Water
A must have for when you’re lazy, I like to mix this in with the Alpha-H liquid to really get all of my makeup off. It totally gets everything off and leaves your face feeling fresh and soft without drying it out.
Pangea Organics Lip Balm in Lavender.
I was sent this lip balm last March in an organic box and ever since it has become my all time favourite lip balm! It’s packed FULL of natural ingredients and oils that actually hydrate and take care of your lips long term- you should probably read up that most lip balms contain ingredients that strip your lip of moisture therefore you buy more lip balm and it strips your lips of natural moisture.
Anyway, this is like a two in one moisturising and aromatherapy balm in one, not to mention you get SO much product and the lip balm is so thick and satisfying to apply.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold.
I’m not too sure about this one, It feels like it makes my skin glowy the next day as it’s an regular treatment but it burns spots (not in a nice way). Overall I need to carry on giving this a shot but I do like the effect it has the next day.
Superdrug’s Vitamin E Moisture Mask
As I said earlier, I mix this in with the Nip and Fab treatment and the outcome is lovely. My makeup applies better and I have less dry patches. If you’re on a budget and have to deal with dryness definitely give this a shot.
Just before I end this post, I recently make a new beauty instagram to correlate with this blog! I’d be grateful if you checked it out and followed, I might start posting makeup tutorials on there with makeup that I’ve recently reviewed!
